I gave this book an honest effort before watching the movie. I just could not get into it. I gave up after 100 pages in. I love to discover new words in books when I read, because I like to look them up in the dictionary. This book, however, had so many that it was impossible to enjoy the story, due to constantly looking up vocabulary. The large words also made me wonder how much of it is made-up words to go with the storyline, since the book takes place in multiple worlds/universes/dimensions/whatever (not sure, didn't get that far). I gave it my best effort; I wasn't enjoying it, so I gave it up.
